2022 Board of Directors Election Results

Good Afternoon Longmeadow!

First, we want to thank everyone for their amazing work in organizing, volunteering, and running this election. This would not have been possible without the amazing group that came out.

Second, thank you to those that stopped by at our in-person days. We have heard these issues/questions raised and noted them for the future. It was wonderful to meet so many residents and get to know you! Sorry it was so cold and in some cases, rainy!

Finally, the results. With more than 100 households voting we failed to secure the 126 needed. Overall turnout was 44% of the neighborhood, and it was amazing! This is probably one of the highest turnouts in a decade and that should be commended! This experience has given the election committee much to reflect upon as we regroup and think about next steps and what to do next election.

What are the next steps?

At present, Dawn Mapp has agreed to stay on as Treasurer and ensure our bills are paid. Thank you Dawn!

After a discussion with the Ombudsman, the prior Board must meet and determine if: 1) we will adjourn and go door-to-door to make sure each member had a chance to vote; or, 2) call the election and remain as the Board until the next election is held.

Longmeadow is an amazing community, and the level of communication and energy should not be lost. If anything, it should be celebrated and continued as we are the most amazing group of neighbors. Thank you for all your hard work and votes. May you have a wonderful weekend and please reach out via the website if you should need assistance.
